Inspiration shoots are an invaluable tool for wedding planners. It offers a number of advantages, not least for developing the agency’s image. It’s a great way to stand out from the crowd and show off your creativity, while keeping up with the latest trends. As such, they are very important for communicating and demonstrating know-how. In our agency, J’ai Deux Amours, we love inspiration shoots and all the opportunities they offer.

Creating a portfolio

For a wedding planner, it’s important to be able to show off her creations and to have a collection of photos. This is what will initially attract future clients. With real weddings, the decor will be to the bride and groom’s taste, but won’t always reflect your style and creativity.

Developing your creativity

You need to take advantage of this inspiration shoot to experiment with new things, such as a new theme you’ve never been able to tackle before. Your creativity is your only limit, and you need to innovate and personalize in order to offer an original wedding without the constraint of clients. These photos will help you stand out in the highly competitive world of weddings.

Creating collaborations

To create a photoshoot, you need to call on different service providers (photographer, caterer, floral designer, etc.). It’s an opportunity to strengthen existing professional ties by working together on a common project that will benefit everyone involved. But you can also call on new service providers to strengthen your network and initiate new collaborations.

Gain visibility

Once you’ve got your images, it’s time to build your communication around them. You need to choose carefully how to use your inspiration photos to get the best visibility. You can promote them through your social networks, blogs, magazines and so on. The collaborations created earlier will also enable you to appear and be quoted in several places (hence the importance of choosing the right service providers for your target audience). Your images will serve as a showcase for future brides and grooms, and should inspire and attract attention.

Position yourself as a wedding planner

Inspiration shoots also help you define and refine your style. It’s a way of communicating your aesthetic, or of communicating a new aesthetic. It’s important to analyze your target customers and your positioning so that your shoot is consistent with them. This is the time to validate or change your positioning and justify it.

Acquiring trends

As a wedding planner, it’s important to analyze and use trends. So, with a shoot, you can acquire them and put them forward. This method shows that you’re interested in what’s new, which can attract customers looking for trendy weddings.

Our latest inspiration shoot

We chose the “lush French garden” theme, which fit perfectly with the 2025 trends: toile de jouy, burgundy color and XXL raspberry tart. In fact, we looked at Pantone 2025: “Red Plum” and chose all our elements around this colorimetry, creating a harmony between the tablecloth patterns, colors, flowers, fruits, dishes, and so on. This shoot was an opportunity to create new collaborations and capture trends for communication.

So, inspiration shoots are essential to develop your creativity, experience and network. It’s the best way to position or reposition yourself, and to use trends. However, for this to be effective, you need good communication behind it and a good analysis of your target customer.
